Programme overview

What you will work towards

This is a preview of the developing syllabus. These learning outcomes describe the intended course, not an already awarded competence.

  • Translate garment specifications and approved changes into traceable quality controls and reaction plans.
  • Evaluate incoming fabric, in-process and final inspection evidence while preserving lot identity, product state and decision boundaries.
  • Calculate first-pass yield, nonconforming-unit rates, defects per hundred units, tolerance limits and selected statistical examples with explicit assumptions.
  • Apply supplied sampling rules correctly, explain AQL limitations and confirm the applicable authorised scheme and edition.
  • Interpret laboratory evidence through method applicability, sample and measurement traceability, aggregation and agreed conformity-decision rules.
  • Prepare an evidence-based garment-quality investigation, corrective-action plan and capstone portfolio without overstating causation, capability or release authority.

Enrolment and certification are not open for this programme. Teaching drafts, technical references, media and assessments are still subject to review.

Curriculum preview

10 planned modules, organised as a progressive learning sequence.

01Quality management systemsFoundation · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts covering QA and QC roles, process handovers, control plans, revision control, quality-cost calculations and an evidence-based factory audit workshop.

02Technical specifications and tolerancesFoundation · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts on measurable tech-pack requirements, asymmetric tolerances, rounding, before/after-wash baselines, inspector agreement, approval scope and a specification-conflict workshop.

03Incoming fabric inspectionFoundation · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts on roll identity, inspection coverage, fabric grading and area units, GSM, usable width, shade screening, defect mapping and a material-release workshop.

04In-line production inspectionIntermediate · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts covering DHU versus defective units, first-pass and final yield, change-point containment, time trends, Cp/Cpk assumptions and an integrated in-line quality workshop.

05End-line and final inspectionIntermediate · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts covering end-line versus final inspection, assortment and carton identity, individual measurement decisions, repair and reinspection records, release recommendations and an integrated final-inspection workshop.

06AQL sampling methodologyIntermediate · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts explain AQL limitations, authorised plan selection, units versus defect occurrences, sampling risk, selection integrity and a complete inspection-report audit. Includes original probability calculations and hypothetical acceptance rules clearly distinguished from ISO tables.

07Defect classification and reportingIntermediate · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts cover operational defect definitions, overlapping garment findings, frequency and effort-based Pareto analysis, inspector agreement, traceable image/report evidence and an integrated defect-log workshop.

08Laboratory testing interpretationAdvanced · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts address method-family selection, laboratory scope, specimen traceability and reference states, individual versus average results, units and precision, declared uncertainty decision rules, conflicting reports and a laboratory-evidence workshop.

09Root cause and CAPAAdvanced · Draft syllabus

Six substantive lesson drafts develop measurable problem statements, testable fishbone/five-why hypotheses, occurrence and escape causes, FMEA interpretation, controlled effectiveness reviews and a complete evidence-linked corrective-action workshop.

10Quality improvement capstoneAdvanced · Draft syllabus

Six connected capstone lesson drafts investigate a fictional 3,000-trouser order through traceable baseline evidence, checked quality metrics, individual seam-performance decisions, competing hypotheses, balanced pilot trials, controlled confirmation and a final evidence portfolio.

Learning experience

Study. Practise. Explain.

The new programme format combines lesson summaries, learning objectives, technical explanations, worked examples, practical activities and factory case studies. A 15-second introduction is planned for each new lesson. A written script is not a finished video; the player appears only when an approved video is available.

Assessment & credentials

Evidence of your learning

Questions and practical rubrics are in development. No programme certificate is offered from this preview. Assessment approval and the learner-to-certificate workflow must be validated before launch.

NOSK issues its own learning credentials. They are not Harvard qualifications and are not presented as externally accredited.
