Finishing & Packing Intelligence: practical industry application

Finishing intelligence converts sewn garments into presentation-ready, safe, correctly identified shipments. It integrates repair control, stain removal, thread trimming, pressing, measurement recovery, metal detection, folding, ticketing, packing, carton control, and final release.

Execution procedure

  • Receive by style, color, size, and bundle with sewing quality status; segregate rejects and repairs.
  • Trim, clean, repair, press, shape, measure, and visually inspect in a controlled sequence that prevents recontamination.
  • Approve pressing parameters by material, construction, fusing, print, embellishment, and appearance standard.
  • Verify label, hangtag, price ticket, barcode, assortment, folding board, polybag, warning, carton, and shipping mark against packing instructions.
  • Complete metal detection and final audit where required, reconcile packed quantity, seal cartons, and retain release evidence.

Practical case

  • A shipment has correct garment quality but repeated wrong-size stickers. Contain finished goods and cartons, compare sticker data to sewn labels and PO, identify the print or issue point, rescan affected stock, and add matched-code verification.
  • Release only after quantity reconciliation and QA confirmation.

Operational limits must follow the approved buyer specification, product risk assessment, legal requirements, and calibrated test method. The approved tech pack takes precedence over general guidance.
